Such a fun day. Eight hours of fun at the Rodeo. From carnival rides, to playing farmers, to riding ponies, petting animals, learning about plants and seeing babies being born, to watching the rodeo and seeing Jake Owen in concert. It was an awesome family day together!

Daddy's birthday
I have a little catching up to do. In the meantime here is are a few snapshots from Jacob's birthday.
Jagger and I snuck out early in the morning to get daddy some of his favorite things....
He was still very much sleeping when we all woke him for birthday breakfast in bed:
We may have made a bit of a mess, but it was a speical morning for us all.
That night we had a big party to celebrate!
Love you honey!!

Band of brothers
Sometimes they are rockstars.
And sometimes they are country superstars.
And sometimes they are country superstars.
And one time, maybe one time. After they have already dedicated you a song and sang a few chorus' you can catch just enough on video to prove that these boys really do think they are a in a band.
This is the end of "Mommy and Jagger's song", Cowboys and Angels.

Valentine's Day Recap
'Twas the night before Valentine's and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The ring pop's were signed and packed away with care, in hope that the morning would soon be here. The children were nestled all snug in there beds, while visions of preschool danced in there heads. And mama in a hurry got the gifts laid out, she hoped the superhero watches would make them scream and shout.
I awoke to the most wonderful gift of all,
my two sweet J's woke me with no stall.
To preschool they went for parties and candy.
At home now while playing I heard such a clatter,
I sprang from my spot to see what was the matter. Jax was running around in a flash,
the evidence of candy left on his mouth,
but happy he was down here in the South.
Later we got Jammies from Grandmommy and Grandpa. We washed them and wore them,
Oh, how they adored them.
We tucked them in tight,
Happy Valentine's Day to all and to all a good-night!
Hope your day was filled with as much fun and love.

Mom Cave (aka Master Bath remodel) Magnifico!
We bought a nice house, that we have slowly been able to remodel over the last year, into our home. The kitchen was necessary, but this, this was for me. I desired a place to getaway. A retreat. A "mom-cave" so to speak. My dream space.
Master bathroom BEFORE:
cream colored carpet throughout, cultured marble tub and vanities, metal blinds on windows, plastic knobs, ugly taupe walls and brass and "crystal" plastic fixtures...
My vanity (Jacob's is behind him in the mirror...tub sits between)

Our former midget shower (it was TINY, like couldn't put your arms out small) and old gross white tile and brass fixtures and pebbled door

Jacob vanity
Water Closet...with a 30 year old toliet and horrible shutter doors.
His and hers walk-in closets are the angled doors, a shower and WC sit behind with doors to bedroom

Our former midget shower (it was TINY, like couldn't put your arms out small) and old gross white tile and brass fixtures and pebbled door
Finally, the entry view. The old whirlpool garden bathtub was NOT my style.
Six LONG months later, I couldn't be happier!
NOW:
My vanity:
White carrara marble, new knobs, undermount sink, chrome faucets, clean and spacious!
Jacob Vanity:
Water Closet:
Good-Bye scary shutter doors, hello new custom door. (That still lets in the light)
a NEW fancy EAGO chair-height toliet (my "throne") and pretty glass tile wall:
No more carpet. Hello modern tile!
And since I am boring you with details...Jacob built me an extra shelf for my overwhelming shoe collection to match my Tiffany blue closet. (Don't worry there are three others you can't see in the picture)
The shower is ALL new. We gutted the shower down to the studs. Removed the hall closet in the foyer to enlarge the space. Raised the ceiling, new plumbing, lights, tile, everything. We added a niche and had a custom frameless shower door installed to complete it.
And the new focal point. Our new tub and filler, floor to ceiling glass tile wall, crystal chandelier. I love walking in to this view every morning.
I think Jagger said it best, "I could stay in here all day!"
It truly is, Magnifico!
