Generous Heart
Jagger was feeling better and went to the Hardware store with Jacob. (We are in the midst of remodeling the kitchen). Now people, this is Texas. And here in Texas, we have a jewelry store and huge womens section. From high end jewelry to fancy soaps and things. So, this is the story Jacob told me, as my darling "almost 2" year old handed me an ornate and beautiful package.
In Jacob's words:
As they were entering the hardware store Jagger declared he wanted to get a present for mommy multiple times. Jacob said ok and let him "shop" around. He initially picked up a bookmark and when Jacob asked, "Is this what you want to get mommy?".
"Nope" he said, "In here..."
He headed for the glass case with all the nice jewelry in it. (And I guess a group of ladies had accumulated at this point with ooh's and ahh's). He slowly, carefully, looked at the glass, sliding his finger until he pointed to the above ring and said, "this one!"
Jacob said he gulped at the price tag, but was so blown away by this whole unprompted gestrure and thought process, followed by careful selection, he had to buy it.
(The ladies at the counter and in the store, went crazy).
Jacob said after they wrapped it, he very carefully with two hands carried his "surprise for mommy" to the car and did not let go of it, until he handed me the bag (and then opened it for me)
proclaiming, "I got you a present mommy!".
Isn't he the best?!
Needless to say...he won my heart the day he was born. But he wins my heart every day again. An amazing little boy, with a generous heart and GREAT taste in gifts.
(Just like his daddy)
This ring, is now a treasure.

Two Sick Little Boys
This weekend we suffered quite the scare. I knew that the boys were sick, but when we headed to our Pediatrician's on Saturday, I was not expecting them to keep us there from open (9am) until after close (2pm) because they weren't sure if Jagger was well enough to go home or if we needed to check him into the hospital. At first he was so pale, and incoherent they thought he was going into septic shock. It turned out one of the problems was he was not getting enough oxygen. SCARY! Thank goodness, we ended up going home!
Jagger at the Dr.'s office. (It was a LONG day) After a few breathing treatments, steroids and antibotic shots, and 4 hours of watching him they determined he was fine enough to go home.
At 6 weeks Jax has a cold, and labored breathing. He had to undergo breathing treatments in office (and now at home, as well too).
Jagger mastered (the fish mask) at home:
It has been a hard weekend, and even though Jacob and I are now sick; at least our beautiful boys are on the mend! Sleeping, eathing (some) and getting lots of rest.
