Big boy bed

Since the beginning of August we have been working on transitioning Jagger from our room to his own "big boy" bed and room.  He still doesn't go down easy, the boy likes to cuddle. But once asleep he sleeps peacefully until he is hungry and we hear a cry to satiate and knock him back out. (Now, if only I could get the boy weaned).

Yes, I took this flash and all in the middle of the night.  He ALWAYS wants to read Goodnight Gorilla before bedtime. But don't let puppy fool you. Puppy is my attempt to give him something besides momma to cuddle with to fall asleep.  (Which has been met with numerous violent throwings of puppy into the wall) But alas, I am still trying to convince him that puppy can recieve the same sweetness at night as he does in the day.  We will see.

Irish Head Bang

As you all know, Jagger likes to dance. Add a little live Irish band, and voila! This went on for at least an hour.  Sadly, I ran out of video space on my camera. ENJOY!

AirVenture

My wonderful husband has always wanted to attend the International AirVenture show in Oshkosh, WI. But so do most other pilots. (To give you an idea of its popularity-during this week, Oshkosh is the busiest airport in the WORLD! An airplane lands almost every 30 seconds!)
DAY 1:
Although this is a "fly-in" advent, we drove.  We took a leisurely road trip up the coast of Lake Michigan and made some stops along the way.  Here are a few snapshots, of yet another, amazing trip.  First stop, Cedarburg, WI. Beautiful, historic, little town we loved.

Next we stopped at Port Washington, WI.  Perfect day, scenic lake views and a relaxing walk around the Port, made a great break.
We ended the evening in a historic little Irish hotel built in the 1800's, in Plymouth. It only has 18 rooms, and also considered a B&B since a made to order omelet and breakfast buffet are included.  We were lucky enough to also be there on a night that offered free live Irish music.  (Jagger LOVED it--video hopefully to follow)

DAY 2:
After breakfast we made our way into Oshkosh (via scenic route around Lake Winnebago) and started the fun.  I have NEVER seen so many airplanes in my life in one spot! It was amazing. From old warbirds, to historic airliners, bi-planes, single engine, ultra lights, and multi-million dollar private jets and more. From new models for sale, used, private planes that were flown in (and camped under) and more. It was insane.  So, here are a small handful of the MANY pictures we took of the air show!

In honor of you, Mom Mason:
Before we headed out of town we ate at this scrumptious little drive in diner that is over 50 years old. The waitress' still take and deliver your order on roller-skates! We enjoyed some homemade rootbeer floats, hamburgers, onion rings and headed home.

Of course, we had to end the night at a Cracker Barrel by request of my darling dearest.  It was a wonderful time had by all.

(Did I mention Jagger now reaches for our hands to be held when walking?  We are smitten.)
The End.
