Jax First Taste
I have a couple of Ella's Kitchen smoothies in the house, I occasionally give Jagger as I treat. (or in the car/airplane). He had picked out one I was saving for Jax (4 months and up) and hated it. So...I decided "what the hey" let's see if if Jax likes it. So we gave him a taste. He loved it.
(Oh, and did I mention he has been sitting up by himself for short periods of time already?)
I may have video to come later....

New Ride
...thank you Grandma and Grandpa Mason. Jag LOVES his new bike! (He dressed himself, demanded I take him to the bike so he could take it for a spin in the Houston heat. Backwards hat and all.)

Jax--4 months
At a whopping 19.2 lbs and 27.5 inches....Jax is big and strong for his age. Off the charts in so many ways. (and quite the charmer, to boot). Talking, rolling, laughing, and so much more.
He has mastered rolling. Stomach to back and back to stomach. Though his favorite activity is watching his big brother.
He LOVES the exercauser. All the noises, things to chew on, even turning the book pages.
We also recently introduced him to the swing. A little unsure at first, but a hit after the coos of Grandma and Grandpa Mason settled him in on there visit.
Always, happy, ALWAYS smiling. He is a true joy for everyone to be around. Like a ray of sunshine. Totally smitten.
Sweet rewards
We accomplished our first potty train chart! We have watched the Toy Story everyday since. We even started a new chart for Thomas the Train, Day of the Diesel movie. We are slowly replacing stickers for candy. (an ocassional marshmellow here and there). But he is doing great. I am hoping to have these diapers kicked by Halloween!
Jagger is so proud of himself.

Potty Train
So for a week we have been hard at Potty Training. Jag has taken to it, like white on rice. In the last week we have only had one accident...but Jag no longer wants to wear a diaper, and when we leave the house he comes home dry and ready for a reward. (Hershey kiss)
It is mostly nakedness around here, and he tells us or goes by himself. Today we bought big boy underpants (he picked out Paul Frank undies)...and we made a little chart with awards. (At the end of the train, he gets the Toy Story movie).

I am not sure who is more excited, Him, or I.

First Day of Preschool Today!
Here in Texas, they start 'em young. Preschool is 2 days a week from 9:30am-2:30pm. Jag was super excited. This weekend, we went shopping and he picked out his backpack and some school things. He couldn't wait to get started...see for yourself.

DOLPHINS!!!
I had to share this video beacuse I was shocked how close the dolphins were to the beach. They were no more than 10-15 feet from where we were standing. They were fast, beautiful, graceful, and SUPER close!

Kitchen Makeover
I wanted to share the results of our kitchen remodel. We had a VERY small budget (as far as kitchen remodels are concerned), but I am VERY pleased with the results. All new SS appliances, granite countertops, marble backsplash and more. Basically the only thing we kept were the original cabinets. Jacob did everything himself (except the granite installation) saving us beacoups bucks!! He did an AMAZING job! Check it out!

After:
We still have some trim to paint, some window coverings to decide on and I still need to put my herb garden in the window. But other than that, we are finished!
Exhausting, expensive; and TOTALLY worth it!
Please come visit so I can make you a meal in my fab new kitchen!
